City Lawmakers Renew Call For Stricter Gun Control On Six-Month Anniversary Of Sandy Hook Shooting

Local lawmakers stood side by side with advocates Friday to call for stronger gun control on the six-month anniversary of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.
Lawmakers gathered on the steps of City Hall to rip Congress for a lack of action on the issue.
"People all over the country understand that enough is enough," said New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman. "We can take action. We must take action."
"This is what we need to change this issue," said Colin Goddard, a victim of the 2007 shooting at Virginia Tech. "We need people to stand up, and we need to make our elected officials understand that they cannot vote against the majority of the American public."
