Greenpoint Residents On Edge As Search For Suspect In Alleged Bias Rape Goes On

Police are asking for the public's help to find the man they believed sexually assaulted a woman in Brooklyn because he thought the victim was gay. NY1's Mahsa Saeidi filed the following report.

Residents in Greenpoint were unnerved to find out that police are looking for the man seen in the image above, who they say raped a woman in part because of her perceived sexual orientation.

Police say the attacker made anti-gay remarks during the incident.

"It's disgusting, it's disgusting, and I hope they catch him," said one resident.
