SI Assemblyman Joseph Borelli: Block NYS facilities from burning human tissue to generate energy

What happens to our souls after we die is not a question that can be answered by politics.
But a Staten Island lawmaker is advancing legislation to give New Yorkers more control over the fate of their worldly parts, including limbs, tissues, and other remains.
After a headline-generating case in Oregon, Assemblyman Joseph Borelli wants to make it illegal to burn "human biological matter, remains, or fetuses [for] the purpose of producing energy."
"I think people have a right to have a say in [the disposal of] their remains and the remains of their aborted children, and they have a right to know what happens with them and a right to not be made into some corporate energy profit," Republican Borelli told the Daily News.
