Manhattan Man Drowns In Upstate Lake That Recently Claimed Life Of City Teen

For the second time in two weeks, a city resident has drowned in a lake at an upstate park.

Officials from the Stony Point Fire Department say the 40-year-old Manhattan resident was trying to swim across Hessian Lake in Bear Mountain State Park Thursday afternoon.

They say he went under around 5 p.m. and was found an hour later.

His identity has not been released but officials say he had been at the park with his family.
