Ex-Goldman board member seeks to stay out of jail

NEW YORK -- A former Goldman Sachs and Procter & Gamble board member has asked the Supreme Court to let him stay free while he continues to appeal his conviction on insider trading charges.

A copy of Rajat Gupta's request to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was made available on Tuesday.

Gupta asked to continue to stay free on bail while he awaits word from the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan on his latest appeals.
