Cuomo Has $35M War Chest

Nick Reisman

Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s re-election campaign on Tuesday revealed in a campaign filing it had raised $8.4 million in the last six months and has a $35 million war chest heading into the re-election contest.

Cuomo’s Republican opponent, Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, previously revealed he had only a fraction of that money: $2.4 million in cash on hand.

The first-term Democratic governor, considered an adept fundraiser, shows donations from Hollywood moguls like Jeffrey Katzenberg and director Steven Spielberg who each gave $25,000.

John Mack, the former Morgan Stanley CEO who became an adviser for Cuomo’s economic development program START-UP NY, contributed $25,000.

Since Cuomo's moved over....to the other side, that is...... the thinking is: why shouldn't they?

Real DEMs will back Professor Teachout in the primary ( Andrew's trying frantically to get her thrown off the ballot; why take chances?) then hope for the best.

Which would be 5 years.

Quid Pro is using the challenge as a tactic ( drain her limited finances) but the paradox for the Quid Pro camp is that it forces some of the M$M to cover her.

She would otherwise be ignored. She got a good spread in yesterday's NYT out of it.
