Schumer: Putin has "blood on his hands" for deaths of Malaysia Airlines passengers

Sen. Charles Schumer said Friday that Russian President Vladimir Putin has "blood on his hands" for the deaths of all 298 people on the Malaysia Airlines jet that went down over eastern Ukraine.

Speaking to reporters in his Manhattan office, Schumer pointed out that the surface-to-air missile that was used to down the plane is a "sophisticated" weapon" that "takes multiple people to launch.

"That means it's almost certain that there was Russian involvement not simply in supplying missiles, but in training Ukrainian rebels as to how to use them, he said

"While he may not have ordered this plane to be shot down, it seems extremely likely he has enabled the separatists to do this dastardly deed," Schumer added.
