Baby boomers are poised to flee the city as they retire, the AARP is warning in a new report.
More than half of New Yorkers age 50-64 say theyre likely to leave the city in the future.
And among those who are confident theyll ever be able to stop working, 64% say theyre very or somewhat likely to flee when they retire.

(14,449 posts)I believe that Florida gets a nice amount of New Yorkers in retirement. It just makes sense, no state taxes, nice weather. The worst part of Florida is their education system and they don't have children to worry about that (not saying that Florida shouldn't improve their schools, but seniors don't typically worry about that as much as when their were bringing up their children).
