However, Teachout won easily in my county:
Teachout, in Warren County, defeated Cuomo, 493-355, with fellow Democrat Randy Credico garnering just 22 votes.

(205,645 posts)I took it as fact that NYC is the only reason New York is a blue state.

(205,645 posts)Like the fact the there was SRO when President Clinton came to Warren County to campaign for Kirsten Gillibrand. BTW, she was the guest on The Daily Show tonight.

(205,645 posts)I'm afraid not. I hoped to catch a ride with my housemate since my car was towed to the dealership this afternoon (long story), but he came home, said he didn't feel good and went to bed. He didn't vote, either, but was planning to vote for Teachout, too.

(205,645 posts)I really need to do that, just can't stand the thought of Elise Stefanik as my congressperson. I know she'd be worse than Chris Gibson and probably even worse than John Sweeney.

(205,645 posts)Not to mention being a disciple of Paul Ryan and (I read this at headquarters) has the backing of Karl Rove.

(205,645 posts)Bill Owens didn't win with that big a margin. Since Stefanik can't seem to say where she's from, my hope is that she'll be viewed as a carpetbagger.

(71,265 posts)I have gotten called three times for polls this summer and completed one.

(205,645 posts)I could tell by the way it was worded, though one of the calls said it right at the end. I had said I wasn't planning to vote for her.
