I'm not 100% certain that this is correct, but better safe than sorry. We want to make sure that everybody has the chance the vote, so spread the word.

Googled, this is from the New York Civil Liberties Union in 2010: Can I wear a political t-shirt or button to the polls? The answer to this question has not been clearly resolved. But to be safe and avoid problems, we recommend that you wear a coat over your t-shirt and put political buttons in your pocket while at your polling place.

The still I posted was taken from the video that people were using here as proof that Clinton was "campaigning" with a bullhorn inside a polling place in Massachusetts a couple months ago. You saying that Clinton was using that bullhorn inside the building is the most absurd and laughable accusation yet.

Other than that, there's no law that prevents anyone from walking into a voting precinct. Free country, remember? Still, he never went inside and yelled at people with a megaphone. Try picturing such a stunt as the ex president held up a bullhorn and blasted people standing a couple feet away trying to vote. That doesn't even work in your dreams.

I'm sorry you hate Hillary so much, but let's say my bias causes me to see Bill Clinton adhering to election laws in this image, while yours sees him on the other side of the tape, breaking laws for which he mysteriously wasn't charged. It's like that blue/gold dress.

3. When I was a NY elections inspector

this was a rule we enforced regularly in every election. To prevent voter disenfranchisement we suggested that those wearing merchandise with the candidates name turn their shirts inside out while voting. Electioneering is not allowed.

No electioneering within 100 feet of the Polls. We had to send people out. Also, some people crowd in close to the Polls to pass out pamphlets. We ran them off.

The Republican captain let a candidate set up a sound truck across the street. I think I was the third inspector they sent out to shoo them off because the R captain was standing in the middle of the street chatting them up and he was a very assertive guy. I made them move back to the marked boundaries where electioneering was allowed. They continued to another precinct.

In Missouri, no item endorsing a candidate or issue may be brought within 25 feet of a polling place. That includes shirts, buttons, hats, stickers or any other wearable item that a voter might have on while going to vote.

If someone is wearing one of these items into a polling place, he or she will be asked to remove it or to make sure a shirt's endorsement is not visible -- either by turning the shirt inside out or by covering it with a jacket.

If someone shows up wearing a candidate's t-shirt, they can simple cover it with an outer
garment or turn it inside out. Buttons can be removed while voting and hats stuffed into pockets. There is no conspiracy to undermine any one candidate.

Like everything on the internet, this issue is being blown out of proportion by the over zealous foil hat crowd.

30. Kinda off topic but a little funny and advice

A few years ago there was a candidate running for either County clerk or county board I can't remember with the Last name Pizza. I wonder what would happen if someone working the polls order pizza for lunch would they have had to cover up the box?



ETA: seriously though, it is a good idea not to wear any campaign attire to the polls & if someone asks you to turn it inside out just do it and don't make a scene because every vote counts and we don't need people being banned from the location.

have such laws. Ny maine montana vermont virginia and kansas. This is hardly most. I agree it isn't new in NY but it's said to be rarely enforced. If they only do it to Sanders supporters I hope there will be Hell to pay.
