AG: Trump Foundation ends New York fundraising
ALBANY - State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said Monday that the Trump Foundation will no longer solicit donations in New York.
The move comes after Schneiderman earlier this month ordered Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's charity to stop raising money, charging that the foundation violated state law.
Schneiderman's office said it was told Monday that the Trump organization would no longer raise money in New York, Schneiderman's spokesman Eric Soufer said.
"The Trump Foundation has agreed to desist from fundraising and to cooperate with our investigation, which is ongoing," he said in a statement.
