Liquor heiress charged with aiding group dubbed sex cult

NEW YORK — An heiress to the Seagram’s liquor fortune and three other people were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the investigation of a self-improvement organization accused of branding some of its female followers and forcing them into unwanted sex.

Clare Bronfman, a daughter of the late billionaire philanthropist and former Seagram chairman Edgar Bronfman Sr., surrendered to the FBI and pleaded not guilty to racketeering charges.

A lawyer for Bronfman, Susan Necheles, sought her release on $25 million bail. But U.S. District Judge Nicholas Garaufis set the amount at $100 million after hearing prosecutors label her a flight risk and learning she has a net worth of roughly $200 million, including a stake in an island resort in Fiji.

The 39-year-old Bronfman, who appeared in court wearing flip-flops and a T-shirt, was to be released under house arrest later Tuesday.

Ironically, we know that Roger Stone, Former NY State Senate Majority Leader Joe Bruno (R) and former Surgeon General Antonio Novello all were affiliated with either NXIVM or its self-improvement training MLM Executive Success Program (ESP).

The Frank Report that I link to above is run by Frank Parlato, who had worked for NXIVM doing PR but was fired or left, and subsequently was targeted with a lawsuit supposedly funded by Clare Bronfman. He is credited with developing many of the fact that are leading to NXIVM’s downfall.

He also is a right-winger who runs another alt-right blog called ArtVoice.

Parlato is milking the recent NXIVM “crisis” for all its worth, and much of the stuff he posts is either his own speculation or wishful thinking. But there is decent information interspersed if you read with a very large grain of salt, and many NXIVM defectors post comments or provide information to Parlato.

The comments to the articles are fun to read and often bizarre. Many alt-right dumbfucks participate.
