Cabbie charged in wild NYC road-rage brawl
A cab driver was arrested for a road rage brawl in Midtown Manhattan on Thursday that was caught on video. Alyssa Jenna Mallett, 25, was driving a yellow taxi westbound on West 35th Street near Seventh Avenue around 4:45 p.m. when she was possibly cut off by a Nissan SUV, cops said.
Mallett exited her cab and confronted the driver, a 24-year-old man, punching, scratching and biting him, police said. When a 22-year-old female passenger in the SUV got out, Mallett also began punching her and pulling her hair as passersby tried to break it up, as seen on witness video.
Mallet then got back in her cab and tried to drive away, hitting an unattended UPS truck and another unoccupied parked vehicle before backing up and striking a fourth unoccupied car. Mallett was arrested at the scene and charged with reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and assault.
Inside the SUV were an 11-year-old girl and a 2-week-old girl, neither of whom was injured in the incident. The adult passengers of the SUV were treated at the scene for their injuries. A spokesperson for the TLC confirmed Mallett’s license was suspended pending the outcome of the case.
She has had her TLC license for 14 months and is facing revocation over additional separate incidents for refusal of service and overcharging passengers.

Maybe they should assign her to remain at the cabby garage - change the auto oil, do tune ups, and wash the cabs down at the end of the shifts.
