By Mara Gay , Greg B. Smith AND Daniel Beekman / NEW YORK DAILY NEWS
Mayor Bloomberg lashed out Friday at the judge who found the NYPDs stop-and-frisk practices unconstitutional, calling her some woman who knows zero about police work.
Think about this judge on stop-and-frisk, the mayor fumed on his weekly radio show when asked about Manhattan Federal Court Judge Shira Scheindlin. What does she know about policing? Absolutely zero.
The city is appealing Scheindlins decision to appoint a federal monitor to oversee stop-and-frisk, but Bloomberg didnt deign to refer to the judge by name.
Your safety and the safety of your kids is now in the hands of some woman who does not have the expertise to do it, he said.
Schiendlin, who has a masters degree from Columbia University and a law degree from Cornell University, was a federal prosecutor in Brooklyn and general counsel to the city Department of Investigation before becoming a judge.

(35,392 posts)people do remember that he was a Dem before he decided to run ... so that he could get the $$$ to WIN, he changed to Repub.
Headlines in papers the day he was elected touted him as part of the 2002 Republican "landslide/death knell for the Dems" ... when Dems retook the same offices in 2010 ... not so much in the headlines, more like "Oh, btw ..."
