Despite 10,000 New Jobs, State Now Lags Behind Nat'l Rate

NY1News

It's good news, bad news in the state's latest job numbers.

According to the state comptroller, New York added 110,000 jobs between June of 2012 and 2013.

However, for the first time in six years, the state's job growth lagged behind the national rate.

The state fell short in nearly every major employment sector, including professional services, hospitality and construction.

I think the NY1 title is a typo. I think they meant to say 110,000 new jobs.
