It was another nasty day on the mayoral campaign trail, as Democratic candidates targeted Christine Quinn after she landed the endorsements of the city's major newspapers and Republican candidate John Catsimatidis slammed rival Joe Lhota for negative comments about Port Authority cops. NY1's Courtney Gross filed the following report.

(168 posts)Quinn rallied against and voted against mandatory sick pay for New Yorkers. That is a BFD to me and to other workers who have no health insurance and whose jobs are held over their heads when they are sick or have to be out with a sick child.
I'm a born NY'er transplanted in Florida and Theresa Jacobs and her stooges on the Orange county commission did that here for last years referendum and I'm going to get my ass out and rally people to vote her ass out. Too many folks here in the Orlando area are making 10 and 11 dollars and cannot afford to take a sick day when they are sick and have no insurance to see a doctor. The least we can do is let them stay home so as not to make the rest of us sick.
Fuck Quinn. I hope she loses. Just because she's openly gay means nothing.
