defend pit bulls. It's not as though we read of dachshunds or collies or french poodles doing this. Pit bulls are dangerous. Yeah, not all of them, just as there are plenty of gun owners who don't go on a killing rampage. But what virtually all of the mauled or killed by a dog stories have in common is the breed.

and not all great white sharks attack humans.
And not all venomous snakes bite humans.
But it is a wise policy to stay away from all of them, and I would include known dangerous dog breeds as well.

Actually, all breeds of dog bite and maul. In the US, 800,000 people per year visit the ER for treatment of dog bites and attacks. The majority are children.

Pit bulls are the worst, having been bred to fight and kill.

the biggest lie dog owners believe is that dogs can be trained to not want to do things they were specifically bred to do.

She's sixteen years old now. Never had a problem with aggression, including around children.

Just an FYI.

Google "most aggressive dog breeds." You may be surprised at the results.

Marina was a part time pianist at a NYC ballet school where I’ve worked. She was a lovely lady and a fine pianist.

What a tragedy!
