Latest Poll Has City Comptroller Race In Dead Heat-Spitzer/Stringer race.

In the topsy-turvy race for City Comptroller, a new poll released Thursday by Quinnipiac University shows the race is now a dead heat.
Earlier this month, former Governor Eliot Spitzer had a 19 point lead over Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer and fared particularly well among African-American voters.
According to the latest poll though, that margin has been erased with both candidates now standing even at 46 percent.
The poll finds black voters still favor Spitzer 52 percent to 40 percent. However, the margin was much higher on August 14 when Spitzer's lead was 68 percent to 21 percent.
