I lived in that district for just under a year during the Felon's 1st failed term and that was MAGA country. Signs, roof tops, barns and vehicles all over adorned with the Felon's name.

The last time that Stefanik made a public appearance, at a building dedication in Plattsburgh, before she even got a chance to speak, she was loudly boo'd off the stage. So I'm sure hoping that things are looking up. Also, Stefanik first won in 2015 when moderate Democrat Bill Owens retired.

During Covid, my family and I stayed in Canton due to work. So we would see all of the signs in between when traveling to Syracuse. Coming from Southern CA. You can imagine the culture shock. We have fond memories.

People like yourself are what's going to turn this around.

But I know they're out there. The first time he ran, the guy across the street had a Trump banner and there was even one on a house across the street of my polling place! And once when I was riding with a friend, I had to stop her from running into a house we passed with yet another Trump banner.

But I haven't seen any of those this time around. All I can hope is that people are waking up. At least we're getting rid of Stefanik (finally!). It's long past time.

Since I'm in the southern part of NY-21, we were included in NY-20 until 2013 and we inherited moderate Democrat Bill Owens from Plattsburgh until he retired in 2015. I went to the meetup where he introduced his chosen successor and I liked the guy a lot, made GOTV calls for him, but that's when we got stuck with Stefanik. I'm sure hoping that we again join most of the rest of New York in becoming a blue district again.
