Cardinal Dolan visits Staten Island convent hit by suspicious fire

STATEN ISLAND (WABC) -- Timothy Cardinal Dolan celebrated mass Sunday at St. Joseph Hill Academy in Staten Island, where a suspicious fire broke out in the convent Saturday morning.

Dolan's visit is part of a previously planned event to mark the 100th anniversary of the Daughters of Divine Charity.

The NYPD Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the blaze, which broke out at about 5:30 a.m. at the convent on Hylan Boulevard in the Arrochar section.

Six people were injured, including four firefighters and two nuns.
