Another Day, Another Farewell For Mayor Bloomberg

It's back to business-like as usual for Mayor Bloomberg.

A day after he choked up talking about his unborn grandson during one of his first goodbye speeches, the outgoing mayor was back to his aloof-yet-amiable self in another City Hall send-off on Friday.

Despite the dry eyes, the mood at Bloomberg's final trip as mayor to the pro-business Partnership for New York City annual meeting was decidedly more nostalgic than usual.

The normally staid meeting featured a Brooklyn theater troop singing and dancing to a rendition of "So Long, Farewell" from the "Sound of Music," The lyrics were changed to trumpet Bloomberg's accomplishments in office, including the creation of the Barclays Center - where the meeting was held - and Brooklyn Bridge Park.
