NEW YORK (WABC) -- A small plane has made an emergency landing on the Major Deegan Expressway in the Bronx.
It happened Saturday afternoon near Exit 12 on the northbound side of the highway in Van Cortlandt Park in the area of East 233rd Street, near the intersection of the Moshulu Parkway.
There were three people on board. So far it appears there were only minor injuries.
There is no word yet on what caused the emergency landing.

(37,449 posts)Sources tell NY1 that three people were on board the plane, a Piper Cub, and investigators are looking at what caused the landing, possibly a mechanical failure or fuel shortage.
