Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino called the upcoming campaign season a “crusade” in a radio interview Wednesday Talk-1300, but declined to say when he’ll make his announcement for a campaign for governor.

Astorino is in Albany today to meet with legislative leaders about county issues, he told Talk-1300 radio show host Fred Dicker.

In the interview, Astorino said he’s “moving forward” with his potential gubernatorial campaign to unseat Demcoratic incumbent Andrew Cuomo and the decision will be made regardless of what businessman and reality show host Donald Trump ultimately decides to do.

“What Donald Trump is going to do is completely up to him,” said Astorino, who added Trump is best suited at creating jobs.
