Mumps Outbreak Reported on Fordham Campus

NY1NEWS
Fordham University has seen several cases of the mumps hit its Rose Hill campus recently.

University Health Services reported seven cases in the past two days and one last month.

They say all eight students had been vaccinated against mumps - a requirement before attending the school.

But the vaccine doesn't offer full protection.

the risk of shingles is greater if you contract chicken pox as an adult than if you contract it as a child. I sure hope you don't get it! Those I know who have suffered from shingles say the pain is excruciating, since the nerves are directly affected by it.
