Lawsuit Seeks To Force Sheldon Silver To Repay Vito Lopez Settlement Money To NYS

A new lawsuit seeks to force embattled Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver to repay the state the $103,000 shelled out in two secret sexual harassment settlements against pervy Vito Lopez.

The lawsuit says because Silver did not go through proper Assembly channels to investigate the matter, the payout should come from his own wallet.

Robert Schulz, who filed the suit today in state Supreme Court, said Silver (pictured) violated a state constitutional provision that public money “shall not be given or loaned to or in aid of any private corporation or association or private undertaking.”

Schulz frequently files lawsuits against New York.
