Bank robbery suspect arrested near Lincoln Tunnel

NEW YORK (WABC) -- One of the two suspects wanted for the string of Midtown bank robberies was arrested at the Lincoln Tunnel by NYPD, Port Authority and Amtrak Police.

Officials say undercover NYPD officers were following the suspects' car.

There were two suspects in the vehicle, which crashed into a building at 31st Street and 9th Avenue.

The suspects fled in opposite directions. One of them ran towards the Lincoln Tunnel and was arrested at the 33rd-36th Street ramp to the Lincoln Tunnel.
