📣🌞 Shout Out, Check In. How are you today? ❄️🌞

Good morning!
Early to rise at 0500 was still snowing then. Around the house totals fluctuate between 10 to 12 inches of snow here. The outside temperature is ~ 12° on the deck, real feel temp is 8°.

The sun is just starting to peep out from under the clouds on the western horizon. Still cloudy east. The crows are out doing and announcing their daily morning inspections.

It stopped snowing about an hour and a half ago. NaNa is having her breakfast. Oh, almost forgot, it's 35° in the pantry and 50° in the old dining room which is now the library. All pipes functioning fine so far! I'm cozy, happy and thankful. How are you?

❤️

Power out?
8:25 AM

Wow sounds cold, but I do love a deep snow. In our old house the pipes would freeze inside the walls! Stay warm and toasty!

Sorry but I self deleted my duplicate.

It was a really beautiful snow yesterday, now I'm ready for it to be gone but it's not.

But is passable with a truck, 4wd, or atv. I live in a very rural area in the northern part of the county. The real problem for us is the places on the roads where the sun never hits it, or only hits long enough to melt it a little for an hour or two. And we're in the foothills, so the roads are hilly and curvy and wind all around. Motorcyclists love it up here, but not today!
Mr liberty will be home Tuesday night and he's got a 4wd pick up, and we should be okay til then. If I needed anything we do have neighbors I could call on - we've lived here for 30 years and he grew up on the road our back yard neighbors are on, so he knows everybody.

My papa retired in Waynesville. He was on a steep elevation with a spectacular valley view.

They are both gone now.

You sound set, ml. Enjoy your (careful) drive when you make it out. I bet that car can be fun on the right road, too. Thanks for your reply! ❤️

wind gusts have picked up and I can hear them loudly through the trees.

Not a crow in sight. It is bitter, bone chilling cold outside. I put some water and bird food on the front porch but I imagine that the water will be frozen soon.

How are things up there, my friend?

7 degrees on my deck, 58 degrees in my old cabin.

8 to 10 inches of snow. Poor chickens' water keeps freezing!

Happy to have power, water and internet!

I'm very thankful, warm and cozy inside, heat set to 69, still have power and lots to eat!!!
Temp just went up to 18 outside, still windy, at least 6 inches of snow outside.
Blowing winds shifted much snow overnight, hard to get accurate readings.
Got notification that my 10:30 medical appointment tomorrow will now be telehealth,

I plan to get dressed later when wind dies down, and go out to clean off and start my car, although I don't plan on driving anywhere today...maybe tomorrow afternoon when temps get above freezing. I live off a main road, and should be able to get out when I need to. I've been inside since Friday afternoon!
