When Monday, August 19, 2013 [Time 5:00pm until 7:00pm

We are bringing Moral Monday to every district in the state and we need your help to keep the momentum going.

Stand up to attacks on our teachers, our voting rights, and healthcare by using these last two weeks to step up the outreach so we can get as many folks out as possible.

Join us on August 19 to let the world know about the extreme attacks on our teachers, our voting rights, and healthcare by the leadership in the NC General Assembly. They want to take back the rights won with the blood, sweat and tears of our forefathers and mothers with policies such as: a new Poll Tax disguised as Voter ID, cuts to Early Voting, ending Same-Day Registration and banning Sunday Voting; taking away a $2500 tax credit from parents whose children do not vote at home, even if they're in college; making felons who have served their debt to society wait another 5 years and get supported by a unanimous decision by the local board of elections to get their right to vote back; and other initiatives to make it harder for some people to vote. The program will take a special look at the impact on public education and the criminal justice system through the lens of civic engagement and voting.

Share this event! Talk to your neighbors and everyone in your community. We need your help.

We need you there to take a stand! Stay tuned for more information...

I love your Moral Mondays. And good for all the people of North Carolina taking part in the protesting. We have the same problems in Wisconsin and have been protesting for over two years.

The Capitol Singers gather in the rotunda of the Capitol and sing inspirational songs. Many have been arrested but the singing continues.
