NC state employees bill

Once again, McCrory is LYING. This bill makes it easier to get rid of people he doesn't like, and in the case of my employer, make it easier to rape and pillage the environment. I am beyond livid. This doesn't affect me directly but, by making folks like my boss, exempt from education and experience ruled, means that they could put in any idiot to do the governor's bidding, to make it easier for corporations to pollute. Not to mention giving his cronies cushy jobs. One of his campaign workers, at age 24, is making almost 90K at a job at DHHS for which he is supremely unqualified. This sort of thing used to be called patronage and it was the reason for the Civil Service system to exist on the federal level in the first place. Most states have a similar civil service system in place, to ensure that things get done without undue political influence.

Fuck these corrupt assholes. I'm leaving. I'm looking for another job in another state. I can't work under these conditions anymore.

And I'm considering going back because, at this point, it's not as crazy.

But I'm also vested in that retirement system and I do have ties there.

So who knows?
