McCrony called "embattled governor"...N&O

This is a fairly comprehensive recent article on McCrory:

http://www.newsobserver.com/2013/08/31/3154382/during-session-and-beyond-mccrory.html

After nearly eight months in office, McCrory has the look of an embattled governor. He has seen the legislature drive the agenda, a role traditionally held by the chief executive.
-----------
McCrory now finds his speeches routinely recorded by his opponents. He is met by protesters as he travels around the state. The Republicans are winning every political battle, but McCrory sometimes sounds as if he is in a political bunker.

He talks darkly about efforts to “eviscerate” him – a reference to the three-page memo written by Jessica Laurenz, director of America Votes, last December of the need for liberal groups to “eviscerate the leadership and weaken their ability to govern” and to use the news media to do so.

“There was not a honeymoon period,” McCrory said. “In fact, the attacks started in the first week. That probably surprised me. … It’s been tough on my family. When you have people outside your gate calling you names, it’s pretty mean-spirited.”

which is Democratic-speak meaning "total capitulation."

It's about time someone stands up to the GOPee, because we're not getting any leadership out of DC.

McCrony has done just about everything the NC GOP wanted. Oh yeah, he vetoed a couple of things, but mostly he's been their poodle.

Lawd knows what God-awful damage those loons are going to inflict on this state now. Jeeze.

I swear the only SANE state in this alleged union is California. There may be a couple others but there aren't many. Sadly, North Carolina isn't one anymore. The inmates are running the asylum!

he has to call for more debate on the two bills he has vetoed--one about drug testing for those receiving benefits and the other about illegal workers. But they are expected to be over-ridden. He's trying to show he's not in lock-step with the Rethugs but it's mostly just posturing.

yes the inmates are loose...and they're having a pirate party...

and totally ignores his ties to Art Pope who was his major campaign backer and is now budget director. So no surprise that poor, poor attacked McCrory is allowing all this extreme legislation to pass. He was bought and paid for by the far right long before he was elected.

I mean really, what did he expect? Running rough-shod over everything the people want?

Go to hell, McCrory.
