Are there any Duer's in Wilmington, NC?

Hubby (lame54) and I will be moving there in October, to open a new store for the company we work for. We will be in Wilmington later this month to look for a rental home. Any suggestions on areas to look?

We moved from Dana Point, California six years ago to Atlanta, Georgia (to open stores for our employer). We really miss the beach. So this was an opportunity to live at the beach again. We will be working hard putting the new store together in October. It's nice to work for a Company that allows us to travel. I have been reading the local papers regarding our store location and it seems not everyone there is thrilled with it. Hopefully the locals will overlook that and enjoy having a Trader Joe's in their community.

Are you in North Carolina?

Hubby moves in September, I should be there the second week of October (have to get our house rented).
Are you near Canandaigua, NY? In 1979 a lifetime ago and a different hubby, I lived near the race track just north of there. Volunteered at the Sonnenberg Gardens once a week. It was beautiful.

When you get settled, ping me and maybe we can connect one weekend when I am visiting my parents.
And I have spoken to many people in Wilmington who CAN'T WAIT for Trader Joe's!!

Hopefully Tj's will do well and they will open a second store. Hubby can't go to the next level of management and work at the same location as myself. Well let you know we are settled cause we would love to meet fellow DUer's.

we soon will as our middle child starts his freshman year at UNCW, and we drop him off next weekend. Our first to go away for school, yipee!!!! Older brother did his undergrad and doing his grad work in town at UNCSA. Our daughter is just starting high school so next weekend when we drop off our son, she will get to do her first college campus visit. SHould be interesting. We are solid democrats in our family and this will be our college freshman's first vote. He registered as a Democrat back in June when he updated his drivers license after turning 18.Congrats on getting a Trader Joe's down there. We have one opening late this month or early next month in Winston-Salem. We're looking forward to their arrival. Good luck with Wilmington and welcome to our beautiful state and great beaches.
