DUers in the Hendersonville/Asheville area? We are about to move there!

We've lived in Raleigh for 28 years, and the increasing traffic and intense summer heat finally are driving us to the mountains (we also need to downsize). We had an offer accepted today on a house in Hendersonville....and DUers going to be in the area? Can't wait to get there...but lots to do between now and then (like decluttering and selling our house)!

We're getting pretty crowded but we've always got room for one more. Especially one more who votes blue!

Reach out if you need a local's input on where to eat, what to do, etc.

I love Asheville. Every time MoveOn.Org or another Dem group has something going on, the closest to me is Asheville. Asheville is pretty progressive and has a laid back small town feel with the focus on music, craft beer, art, and farm to table restaurants. It is also very beautiful. If I had to move anywhere else in the South, Asheville is my pick.Best of luck to you.

Hendersonville should be a good central location for us, with Saluda, Fletcher, Weaverville, Asheville all close. My wife will be looking forward to getting into the quilting community, and me the garden community. We also hope to check out SC, and TN. Hope to meet you some day...and other DUers in the area!
