A letter from Lilly Ledbetter

(received via email)

Friends,

I seldom get involved in state races, but I can't sit this one out. Walter Dalton has to win the governor's race in North Carolina.

I've read the news. Pat McCrory and his buddies in your legislature have declared a War on Women. They've cut childcare for working women, attacked women's health, and they've disproportionalely laid off female teachers and public workers.

I've staked my career on leveling the paying field for women, and I can't sit idly while Pat McCrory tries to erode our gains in North Carolina.

I'm joining Women for Walter Dalton, I'm supporting his campaign, and I need each of you to do the same.

Walter Dalton has not only funded women's health and childcare for working families, but he walks the walk on equality. Walter has consistently hired women in the top positions of his state and campaign offices.

I'll be happy if the last thing they say about me after I die is that I made a difference.

You and I can make a difference in North Carolina -- for our daughters, for all women -- by supporting Walter Dalton.

Join Walter Dalton today and donate to his campaign today.

Let's win this,
Lilly Ledbetter

...if you've got a buck or three to spare, he could use the support. I know we'd rather have him than McCrory, and not just because of policies that affect women, but everyone else too (even those who are too stupid to realize it).
