Cleveland Heights voters recall Mayor Seren
A small group gathered for a watch party to witness what turned out to be a landslide election.
Residents of Cleveland Heights spent the night refreshing their phones to get the latest results of the recall election. The campaign they had worked on for months succeeded.
“If he had just apologized and committed to moving forward, I probably would have been ok with him just finishing out his term,” said Zachary Baldwin, a Cleveland Heights resident.
Seren has been embroiled in controversy since late 2024. He's facing allegations of reading council members' emails, placing a recording device inside the city’s law office and allowing his wife to get involved in city business.
