Fallin to propose 1-time tax cut to Legislature

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Gov. Mary Fallin will urge lawmakers to consider a 1-time tax cut with no offsetting loss of exemptions or deductions when the Legislature convenes on Feb. 4.

At a forum hosted by The Associated Press on Wednesday, Fallin said she will propose a permanent tax cut that she says will be "responsible" and lead to economic growth that will ultimately offset the lost revenue.

Fallin declined to say how much of a cut she will propose, adding that the details will be outlined in her State of the State address to lawmakers on the opening day of session.

Anyone care to guess which income brackets will benefit most from the idiot governor's tax cuts? It's worked so well nationally, leave it to this nit wit to try it in Oklahoma, a decade after it failed spectacularly on a national level.

It's in need of repairs totaling $160 MILLION. Apparently there's raw sewage leaking into the basement, among a long list of other things.

Anything that would benefit the people is of little concern to her. Who needs schools? We don't want our kids to be smart enough to know any better, they'll just leave the state when they get old enough if they're too smart.

Services? That's just for lazy people, can't have that!

State employees have not had raises in years, the schools are suffering, higher ed is under siege by these nut jobs. Of course she is a bit "family values" politician. Daughter has been married and divorced twice in one year....Where is Brad Henry when you need him....
