Most of the Silver Alerts around here have fairly happy endings. It's sad that this one turned out like this.

Police Investigate Fatal Shooting At East Tulsa Motel

TULSA, Oklahoma - Police are at an east Tulsa motel investigating the city's latest homicide.

Officers were called to the Super 8 Motel in the 3100 block of South 79th East Avenue at about 9:26 a.m. about a shooting.

Officer Leland Ashley says inside a motel room police found a deceased male victim who had been shot multiple times. He says so far, they learned the man was in the room with an unidentified female when four other men forced their way in and shots were fired. Ashley said all four were wearing black hoodies.

This is the same motel where Tulsa Police found a 70-year-old Inola man dead on January 21, 2015 after the Rogers County Sheriff's Office had issued a Silver Alert for him.

I never really thought of this as a bad part of town. Right down the street there is an IHOP and another 24-hour breakfast place where our family likes to eat after late night events, and my mom likes to go shopping at a couple of places down there too. There are a bunch of cheap hotels clustered together in this particular location, though.
