According to a Monmouth University poll, Lamb, D-18, Mount Lebanon, leads Rothfus, R-12, Sewickley, 51 percent to 39 percent among potential voters, with 9 percent undecided. Under a Democratic surge model, Lambs lead grows to 54 percent to 39 percent in the only House racing pitting two incumbents against each other.
The new 17th District includes Beaver County, part of Cranberry Township in Butler County and a large portion of Allegheny County, including Sewickley, and Moon, Crescent, Findlay and North Fayette townships.
