Hunter finds urn filled with human ashes in central Pa. woods

Pennsylvania State Police are seeking answers after a black urn filled with human ashes turned up Wednesday in some Schuylkill County woods.

A hunter stumbled upon an urn, with “Richard Jordan 1954 – 2021″ inscribed in a gold plate on top, in the area of Old Route 209 in Schuylkill Township, according to state police spokesman David Beohm.
Beohm said the urn was in a wooded area about two feet north of Old Route 209.

Anyone with information is urged to call the state police’s Frackville barracks at 570-874-5300.

Time passes, the people who cared about them pass on, etc.

That's why I want mine sprinkled.

(One edit - 4 months does seem a little brief though).

Maybe he was a lover of the outdoors and wanted to rest in the woods. Of course, most people would spread the ashes and not leave the whole urn. It is a bit odd.

Just never specified the how his ashes were supposed to be left.

He was not liked.

Just speculating.
