Extremely Conservative! not one Obama sign to be found, LOL. Had me very nervous for the election.

5. The US already complied with the treaty - it was aimed towards OTHER countries

This treaty would not have required any changes in US law or any expenses by the US. The US already put its principles into law 20 years ago. All they needed to do was approve the treaty that almost every other country on the planet has approved. They had to step around Bob Dole in his wheelchair in order to vote against it.

She informed me that they had received "plenty" of calls asking Toomey to votes against it. I asked for the specifics of their objections and she could not give me a single reason for voting against it.

I reminded her that every veterans group and every disabilities rights group supported the treaty and that Toomey should not be voting based upon the opinions of people who are inexcusably ignorant of the facts. I also added that he should not let his irrational hatred of the UN blind him to taking action that is morally correct.
