I can come. ]

Sorry, I can't make it, but I'm interested in getting more updates.]

What: Republicans and some Democrats are playing political games that could cause more taxes for the middle and working class and cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid benefits. MoveOn members are speaking out and demanding an end to the Bush tax cuts for the top 2% and protection for crucial social programs. We'll be speaking out, sharing personal stories, and calling on members of Congress to stand up for the masses—not millionaires. Can you join us to rally and speak out in Unionville on Monday?

The email is from Wayne B. at MoveOn. I can't imagine Joe Pitts agreeing to a meeting with someone from MoveOn, so I'm not sure what the deal is. I complain about Pitts a lot, so I feel like I should go, but I'm not going alone. I'll ask my husband, but he probably won't be free.

were just leaving as I finally pulled in. I asked someone how it went. They said it got pretty heated. Not surprised, as Pitts is a good-ole-boy RWer and Move On is, well, you know, against that crap.

It turns out that Move On had set up the meeting--it would have been nice if the notice from them had been more clear as to what the event was--and it went on for about an hour. I was told that they submitted a letter supporting President Obama's tax plan and that I could go in and sign it if I liked. So I did.
