Guess: Why does Supreme Ct. Justice Being Tried for Corruption Wants to Enter Evidence About a STD?

http://www.post-gazette.com/stories/local/region/orie-melvin-attorneys-seek-identity-of-woman-who-filed-lawsuit-670640/

I can't imagine why this could possibly be relevant to a corruption trial against Republican State Supreme Court Justice Joan Orie "Big Hair Sister No. 2" Melvin.

Excerpt:

"Attorneys for suspended state Supreme Court Justice Joan Orie Melvin entered another document under seal today in federal court.

She is seeking the identity of a woman who contracted a sexually transmitted disease and filed a civil lawsuit against the man she said was responsible. The woman, who asked to file the suit anonymously against the man, is identified only as "Jane Doe." The civil case was settled two years ago.

However, last week, Justice Orie Melvin filed a motion seeking to have the woman's name revealed, saying that it was of critical interest for her pending criminal case. After her initial motion, court briefs by both Justice Orie Melvin and Stephen S. Stallings, the attorney who represents the woman, have been filed under seal.

The Post-Gazette filed a motion to intervene in the case this week, asking not for "Jane Doe's" identity, but to have the other documents unsealed to determine Justice Orie Melvin's interest in the case."

Plaintiff &/or Defendant in civil case has some relationship to the Ories or the DA's office? Divernan Feb 2013 #4

and she was being blackmailed . . .

(Pure guess work on my part. This is in no way any kind of "truth". Though it kinda makes sense. Even though, in reality, I know absolutely nothing about the woman or the case except what I've read right here.) I guess I watch too much Law and Order.

trying to make such a mess that they can ask for a retrial. If I were the judge in this case, I would be cautioning them that they are pushing it too far....way too far.

Just a guess.

So the motive in trying to get this into evidence by the Ories must be to show that the suits against the Ories were motivated by revenge against either the plaintiff or the defendant in the civil case. There's a finite number of possibilities. As to the female plaintiff: One of the Orie sisters? An employee of one of the Orie sisters? A female relative of the Orie sisters? A relative of the Allegheny County District Attorney, Stephen Zappala? Judge Manning's law clerk? An employee of the DA? The Angel Lady? (That's how the Orie sisters referred to this fortune teller they turned to for political advice!)

As to the male defendant/source of the STD: One of the Orie brothers? Another male Orie relative or employee? Some guy in the DA's office? Zappala's yardman's second cousin?

Both parties to the civil suit would have signed confidentiality agreements,so how did one or more of the Orie sisters have personal knowledge of the suit? You got some splainin' to do, Joan, Jane and/or Janine. The woman who was the STD infected plaintiff in the case would have to return the settlement amount if she violated the confidentiality agreement, and we know the Ories must be hurting for money around now. Curioser and curioser.
