So. How about that H.B. 94.

Last edited Sat Jan 26, 2013, 05:00 PM - Edit history (1)

I've been following the discussions in GD and elsewhere, reading the articles, listening to Rachel Maddow...
Is HB 94 a serious threat, or just a GOP fart in the wind?

My Rep is a co-sponsor, and I've written twice, asking politely for an explanation of the merits of the Bill (which are certainly NOT obvious to me), and his reasons for sponsoring it. So far, I've gotten no response---just the sound of crickets chirping. I think the guy took a vow of silence. He doesn't even have a mention of his co-sponsorship on the website where he posts his accomplishments and works in progress.

Any thoughts on the future of this Bill?

Representatives GODSHALL, GROVE, KAUFFMAN, C. ADAM HARRIS, BARRAR, EMRICK, MOUL and GABLER can bear to look at themselves in the mirror, after having attached their names to such a disgusting piece of proposed legislation.

If so, what did he/she have to say about the Bill? Like I said, mine seems to have taken a vow of silence, but I'm curious to hear their justifications/excuses.

He wouldn't listen anyway.

I attended one of his local breakfast meetings with his constituents. It was like watching Fox News, and I expressed doubt on some of his statements.

I signed the online petition going around and sent it to my friends and acquaintances.

my rep - Tom Murt - just squeaks buy in an increasingly-Dem area, his district is severely gerrymandered to get just enough republicans to get him in.

He knows he can't piss us off. I wrote and reminded him that he needed Dem support, and that a bill to steal votes wasn't going to help.

What shitty, un-democratic bill.
