Excerpts:
"Kane said she is proud of what her staff has accomplished in six months. The tally includes more than 600 drug arrests, child predator arrests that are already double last year's total and the collection of $10 million in civil penalties....Kane said if there was a surprise, it is how thinly the resources of the attorney general's office are spread. The office employs 735 people, down from 920 when Corbett was attorney general.
Shortly after taking office, Kane appointed Special Deputy Attorney General Geoffrey Moulton to look into why it took almost three years after then-attorney general and now Gov. Tom Corbett launched an investigation of Sandusky to bring charges against the former assistant Penn State football coach.
Kane said she and Moulton meet about once a week to review where the investigation stands and what needs to happen next. The findings - whatever they are and wherever they lead - will be released when the investigation is done, Kane said, although she offered no hint when that will be. "When it's done, when all the facts are in and they are put into a logical sequence, that's when it will be done," she said. "I want to make sure no stone is left unturned."
