"The Corbett administration said its lawsuit seeking to halt same-sex marriage licenses in Montgomery County "would have no direct effect" on the couples who have already received them.

In a brief Wednesday, state attorneys said those marriage licenses were never valid, and compared gay and lesbian couples to "12-year-olds" who are also barred from marrying under state law.

.... Register of Wills D. Bruce Hanes and his supporters argue that the law is unconstitutional and discriminatory. Since July 24, Hanes has issued 154 marriage licenses to gay and lesbian couples. Thirty-two of the couples have petitioned to intervene in the case, arguing that a ruling against Hanes could also invalidate their marriages."

In other news, Corbett's approval ratings have fallen from the toilet to be deeper down into the sewage pipes. His approval rating is now 16%. That is almost as low as the 15% approval rating that the public gives to the US Congress.

He also got the British company to extend their bid to takeover the Pa. Lottery for another 2 months, despite the Attorney General ruling that the deal is unconstitutional.

Corbett's new Secretary was quick to respond to this story. She said don't blame Corbett for this screw-up - he was at his new vacation home on Hilton Head, and hadn't read the lawsuit that his lawyers filed.
