PA. Att. Gen. Files Criminal Charges Against Fracker. DEP asked AG Corbett to file charges in 2010.

There's a new Sheriff in town. Pa. Attorney General Kane has filed criminal charges against a gas drilling company for environmental pollution that occurred in 2010. She took the case before a grand jury earlier this year, before filing the charges.
Meanwhile, the Dept. of Env. Protection Secretary during the Rendell Administration said that his department referred the case to the Attorney General's office for prosecution in 2010, and nothing happened. He said that DEP did not have the authority to file criminal charges - they had to be filed by the AG.
Let's see, who was the Attorney General in 2010....let me think... oh, yes, that was Tom Corbett. Corbett was then followed by two republican successors who were hand-picked by Corbett, before Kane was elected.
