Senate passed a bill by a large margin that would allow very limited use of marijuana-based products for persons prone to severe seizures and other specific medical conditions. The bill includes a full set of controls, unlike the situation in California.
Corbett's office repeated that his policy continues to be to oppose ANY legalization of any medical marijuana for any condition. That is a particularly heartless position, if you listen to people with severe medical problems who can benefit from reduced symptoms with its use.

(21,177 posts)1. He really wants to lose his governorship in November
If he was smart he would sign the bill and maybe even gain a few votes from the stoners but no he has to follow the orders of his right wing gangster mafia.

It would go into effect whether he wins or not. He knows that, and he knows he's a goner. He's just playing spoiler now.

I know it isn't going anywhere, but no smoking? WTF difference or business is it of the state how one uses it. Ah yeah, from the state that doesn't sell booze in grocery stores or corner liquor stores. Pa is the Nanny state.
