There are now 3 PA. mayors facing criminal charges or investigations.

Today, former Harrisburg Mayor Reed was charged with a variety of criminal offenses, including diverting civil war artifacts that were publicly purchased. There continues to be investigations about whether the failed incinerator project (which drove the City to the brink of bankruptcy) involved any criminal wrong-doing.

Allentown Mayor Pawlowski had his offices and home raided by the FBI. Apparently, his campaign manager has been wearing a wire for the FBI for the last couple months. Little public information has been released, but it appears there are allegations that professional services contracts were handed out in return for campaign contributions. Pawlowski was a big supporter of McCord for Governor, who faces similar criminal charges.

Reading Mayor Spencer also had his offices and home raided by the FBI. He used the same campaign manager as Pawlowski.

2. FBI asked for almost the same info from Reading and Allentown

Local newspapers have published the FBI's search warrants for Reading and Allentown. The list of engineering and energy companies, individuals and law firms involved in the investigation was almost identical, except the Reading list involved fewer lawyers.
