I've been a Steelers fan my whole life. Went to every home game while living in Pittsburgh from 1994-2000. Saw the final game at Three Rivers Stadium. However, I have been a dog lover long before I knew how to say the word Steelers. This will be disgraceful if it happens.

I was also a big fan, but bailed on the Steelers when they didn't get rid of Roethlisberger. But watch how many fans who had no issue having a serial rapist on the team will have a huge problem with Vick.

While I don't respect Roethlisberger very much and it has tarnished my opinion of the Steelers. The women in question took money instead of going to court and people are considered innocent until proven guilty. Vick was found guilty

I was raised in coal mine country and am a lifelong Steeler fan.
I also have a rescue Pitt Bull sleeping on my couch right this second
I bought the Steelers are different narrative whole heartedly - The Rooney family were decent people who would not tolerate the type of behavior that the Raiders and Cowboys would.
Well actually it turns out that if you were smoking weed or smacking your wife while black you were certainly shown the door, and quickly. But pouring liquor into a below legal drinking age coed until she is blackout drunk and then stationing your body guard at the bathroom door as you sodomize her?
That shit is fine.
Forgive and forget.
He's found Jesus since then and look at his cute baby daughter...
If Ben is ok, so is Vick and they should pick up Ray Rice as well.
Hell, at least Ray Rice and Mike Vick have actually worked for a chance at redemption

welcomed Roethlisberger back with open arms. Even if he was not charged with anything, the undisputed facts indicate WILDLY inappropriate and, yes, WRONG behavior which was unbecoming to a player on that ball team. That they took him back so readily showed that Art Sr. and his values really were gone.

I'm not a particular fan of any sports, but growing up in Western PA it's practically impossible to avoid any talk of the great legacy of the Steelers. They've always been portrayed as the grownups in the NFL owner's room, the voice of reason, calm, and always doing the right thing. They tolerate NO nonsense, on the field or off. They even forced the NFL to institute the Rooney Rule, guaranteeing that minorities would always get a shot a coaching positions.

They lost all that with Big Ben, and now Vick. I hope they're worth it.
