Firearms instructor gets two weeks in shooting death of cop

A former state police firearms instructor was sentenced to two weeks in jail for the shooting death of a rookie trooper during a training exercise in Montgomery County last fall.
Richard Schroeter, 43, will also face three to 18 months of house arrest for fatal shooting of Trooper David Kedra, 26, of Philadelphia.

Trooper Kedra's family expressed anger and asked for justice during an emotional court hearing this morning, while Schroeter's attorney and other witnesses portrayed him as "a good man who made a mistake".
