Statewide voters' guide by L. Women Voters plus list of Legislative candidates

Scroll down a little and click to download the statewide voters guide.

Many local chapters of the league of women voters have posted guides for local candidates.

Across PA, among Dems, the main competitive races are President, US Senate, some US House districts, State Attorney General and some State House and State Senate races.

The Dem candidates for Auditor General and Treasurer are unopposed, as are most State legislators.

Update:

Here's another link to info from the League of Women Voters. The defaults are set to races in the Harrisburg area, but you can change the info to any district in the state if you know the number.

1. My choices

For what is it is worth, I'm voting for Zappala for Attorney General and Sestak for US Senate.

I think all 3 Dem candidates for Attorney General are well-qualified. However, I fear that Shapiro will be successfully attacked by the Repubs because of a lack of experience as a prosecutor. Yes, I know that the AG is mainly an administrator, and the AG's office handles few criminal trials, but the Repubs will say that Shapiro doesn't have the experience to be "tough on crime." Also, having a Dem candidate from western PA will help in the general election, because many western PA voters (including independents and Repubs) vote for local candidates.

I think Sestak has the best chance of beating Toomey. He almost beat him in 2010 during a year of very low Democratic turnout. Sestak never stopped campaigning for the last 7 years. Also, his military and national security experience will obstruct the usual efforts to portray Dems as weak liberals.

I would vote for Fetterman if Sestak were more secure against McGinty. Plus, Fetterman has no chance in the general. I really want to see Fetterman go on to higher office and would support him in the future.

I am tired of Morganelli's intrusive robocalls.

Looking through the legislative contests, I am dismayed that the dems left so many seats uncontested.

BTW, Does anyone know if Mandarino has dropped out in the 58th Leg. Dist. (Mon Valley) ???
